LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE
BOOK LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE
HOW IT WORKS
- Producing a lymphatic drainage massage, the Pressotherapy machine works by using computerised gentle air pressure which inflates into a boot covering your feet, legs, hips, buttocks and abdomen.
- The gentle pressure continually moves up and across the lower body and over the abdomen.
- Pumping into the different compartments at varying dosage rates depending on the individual’s program.
- This machine offers seven programs to suit individual’s needs.
BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT
Hydrate
- Drink plenty of water before your appointment. This helps to hydrate the body and promote the flow of lymph fluid.
- Avoid eating a heavy meal before your appointment. A full stomach can make the massage uncomfortable.
- Avoid wearing tight clothing to your appointment. Loose-fitting clothing will allow the therapist to easily access the lymph nodes.
- Inform Majella if you have any underlying conditions or are taking any medications.
AFTER YOUR TREATMENT
- Drinking plenty of water – This helps to flush out the toxins that have been released during the massage.
- Eating a light meal – Avoid heavy meals that can put strain on your digestive system.
- Avoid strenuous activity – Light exercise is okay, but avoid anything too strenuous that could put stress on your body.
- Wear loose-fitting clothing – This will help to improve circulation and prevent the lymphatic system from becoming congested.
